Trip to Atlanta 1/24-1/26

Michael had to go to Atlanta for work on Friday, January 24th, so Liam and I decided to go with him to visit family and go out for my birthday. We traveled down Friday morning because Michael's work meeting was in the afternoon. Liam and I visited with Aunt Laura and Kayla during the afternoon while Michael worked.

Michael and I went out for a nice Italian dinner (and yummy wine) at a restaurant called Valenza Friday night. Laura, Bob, and Kayla kept Liam while we went out. After dinner Michael and I had dessert at a place called Cafe Intermezzo. We loved this place! They had a book of different coffee drinks and desserts. We ordered our desserts from a big glass case (you just stood in front and pointed and asked what was what) and our waiter helped us pair our drinks to go with them. I had a 7 layer chocolate cake and Michael had some white chocolate raspberry cake. We both had coffee- mine came with some sort of caramel Bailey's shot :) It was a great night out on the town- we stayed out until after 9:00 pm!

Saturday morning we went out to breakfast with Michael's grandparents. Liam behaved and we had a nice visit. Saturday afternoon Michael and I went for a run around the lake and then took Liam on a walk to feed the ducks with Uncle Bob--we even got to swing! Saturday night we had dinner with the Atlanta family and Melissa made me a birthday cake.

Sunday Michael played basketball with Bob and Liam and I went to church with Laura. Liam and I went on a nice long walk on Sunday while we were waiting for Michael to get back from basketball. It was a sunny day and it was nice to get to walk around before heading back to Knoxville!
