February and March 2018

February was pretty cold and we stayed bundled up in the house most of the month. We had a lot of illness in the family in February and early March so we laid low. You can tell we have spring fever in March and were looking forward to warmer weather! YAY Spring! The kids and I went to a Saint Patrick's Day parade downtown on the 17th and it was a lot of fun. Liam also started his soccer team in March--GO RAMS! Daddy is coaching--sure to be a great season! At the end of March I ran my second half marathon in Knoxville--always a nice accomplishment!

January 2018....Liam's Birthday and SNOW!

We have had an eventful January so far! Liam turned 5 on the 11th and we have seen some snow! Liam wanted Star Wars everything for his birthday. We had a little Star Wars cake on his actual birthday and then a Star Wars bowling party with a Darth Vader cake. He had a ball and loved it all. My parents were able to make it for the weekend and we had such a nice visit with them as well.

The kids were out of school for some snow in mid-January and they were all about going out and playing in it! So glad I invested in snow bibs and boots for them. So far 2018 is off to a good start!

December, Dollywood Resort and Christmas

So many things happened this December! Of course there were a ton of holiday things going on! We took a trip to the Dollywood Dreammore resort with my parents and had a blast! The kids loved it. They went swimming, played in the game room there, had breakfast with Santa, and of course enjoyed the park! The resort is so nice and we definitely want to go back when the weather is warmer for the outdoor pool!

We had a great Christmas even though all of us got sick! At least it wasn't the flu! We went to Christmas Eve mass and then went to the Hulette's for dinner. We opened Santa present Christmas morning at home and then went to Grandma and Grandpa's the great grandparents were in town so it was nice to visit with them.

The day after Christmas we traveled to Louisville to have Christmas with my side of the family. We kept it pretty low key because none of us were feeling that great. We had fun visiting with family and just being together.

Michael and I went to a wedding for one of my co-workers on the 30th back in Knoxville and it was nice to go out just the 2 of us. We did a little New Year's countdown for the kids at the Hulette's (around 7:40pm--ha!) Thank goodness for Netflix countdowns.

We are blessed. Can't wait to see what 2018 brings!
