Lake Weekend 8/16-8/18

What an awesome weekend! We went to the lake to hang out with my family, and it was so relaxing. We just hung out, played outside, and ate. I was even able to sneak in a few work outs. Michael was able to golf twice, and of course Gus had a blast. My cousin Sam and his girlfriend Emily were camping this weekend and they came to visit a couple of times over the weekend. They had their 4 month old chocolate lab, Dixie, with them and Gus and her got to play. Liam, as always, was a trooper and did well while we were away. I could tell his teeth were bothering him on Saturday night, but after a little fussing and Tylenol he went right to sleep. Still no teeth, but we think they are on their way!
Harper found a box turtle while we were there, and he was one of the highlights of the weekend. The girls named him Flower. Gus was pretty confused by him. The pictures pretty much say it all!

Nana and Pop come to Knoxville

My parents have been wanting to come to Knoxville for a visit this summer and they decided to come August 2-4. They arrived at lunch time on Friday and then left after breakfast on Sunday. We were able to have a fun and relaxing weekend while they were here. Mom watched Liam while I went to my Saturday morning boot camp class, and Dad and Michael went to workout at the same time.

We all met downtown after our workouts to go to farmer's market and brunch on Market Square. We had fun walking around looking at all of the booths; and Mom and I bought some awesome produce, granola treats, and bread. After the market we went to Tupelo Honey for brunch. It was AWESOME. We got a blueberry granola crunch pancake for an appetizer and it was bigger than the plate! Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and we didn't really eat much for the rest of the day. For dinner we ate the produce that we bought at the market.

Sunday we got up and went to 8:15 mass. We came back and Mom made french toast from the farmer's market bread--it was delicious. I was in a carb coma for the rest of the day. Mom and Dad left after breakfast, and as always it was hard to say goodbye. We will be seeing them again soon though at the end of August for Labor Day weekend!

July Louisville Visit

Liam and I traveled to Louisville on the weekend of July 13th to visit with my family. My cousin Claire (who lives in Florida) graduated from high school this year and she had a graduation party in Louisville to celebrate with family and friends. My Aunt Didi and Aunt Caca (mom's out of town sisters) had not met Liam yet, so I definitely wanted to make the trip.

We had a really good time. We went up on Thursday evening and came back on Sunday, so it felt like a nice long visit. Liam, like always, was a trooper and slept and ate well while we were away. He is a nice little travel buddy. Below are some pictures from our weekend. We can't wait to go back to Louisville soon for another visit!

We found a lot of princesses while in Louisville.
Claire's party with cousin Sam, Aunt Cathy, Uncle Doug, and cousin Massey.
Swimming with Lane and Aunt Jack.
First time drinking water! Of course it was after swimming at Aunt Jack's.
Getting some Nana love.
Pop had nothing to do with this picture :)
One of my favorite pictures ever.
Meeting cousin Ben.
I like to think he is a Momma's boy, but he loves his Daddy a lot too! We missed him over the weekend!
