Thanksgiving 2014

We had a great Thanksgiving! This was the first year Michael and I hosted Thanksgiving at our house. It didn't seem too overwhelming because everyone that came brought something to contribute to the meal. I made a few sides and Michael was in charge of the turkey. He did a wonderful job! He researched everything from how to brine it to how to make the gravy.

The day was nice and relaxed. I got up and and ran a 10K with some friends and then came back and had breakfast while watching the parade with Liam. Liam was very amused by the parade and it was fun to get to see him so excited.

Everyone started gathering around 2:30 for our meal at 4. Unfortunately our Atlanta family couldn't make it for Thanksgiving due to illness, but we still had 10 adults eating. We had a great Thanksgiving day celebration!

Halloween

My parents came to Knoxville to visit for Halloween weekend. They stayed with Liam while Michael and I went to the Eric Church concert on Thursday, October 30th. On Friday we went to a Halloween party at my friend Krista's and Liam did his first trick-o-treating. Last year Liam wasn't walking so it was really fun to get to see him in action. He did great! He carried his pumpkin and everything. He really liked the blow up inflatables in people's yards. I am really glad my parents were able to be with us on such a fun holiday.

Other than the Halloween party we had a really low key weekend. Saturday we say by a fire all day and lounged and played with Liam. It was a great weekend!

He did such a great job holding his pumpkin!

Best of Fall

We have had a really fun fall so far! We have been outside a lot and the weather has been awesome. Liam and I have had some really fun Mommy days over the past few weeks. I am so lucky to get to be home with him twice a week. I am very blessed with my work schedule. Below are some pictures from the past few weeks.

Below are some of our adventures...

Fall Trip to Louisville

Michael, Liam, and I traveled to Louisville to visit my family the weekend of October 17th-19th. Michael was able to take off work Friday the 17th so we traveled on Thursday night to Louisville. It is always nice to have a three day weekend when traveling.

We had a really fun weekend. Friday we went to an awesome park (part of the "Louisville Loop") and hiked and played with Gus. Harper and Jackie also met us there after Harper got out of school. Later on Friday I met Jenn at the mall and we were able to do some shopping. Friday night we had dinner at my parents' house and everyone came over.

Saturday morning I went walking with my Aunt Viv and Uncle Scott and caught up with them some. After the walk Michael, Liam, and I met Jackie, Ryan, and Harper at the pumpkin patch. It was a dreary day and we only stayed at the pumpkin patch for a little while. We ended up going to Cabela's and then to Chick-fil-A for lunch. I made chili for everyone for dinner at my parents' on Saturday night.

Sunday we got up, had breakfast, and went to church. We got on the road around lunch time to head back to Knoxville. Gus traveled home with us as well!

Heavenly day.

Liam loves to hike! Must get that from Grandpa.
