Liam and I decided to head up to Louisville for Harper's birthday party May 31st. Unfortunately, Harper got sick and her party had to be postponed. I was still able to visit with a lot of family while in Louisville. Liam and I drove to Louisville Thursday afternoon, so we were able to have 2 full days in Louisville.
Friday we played outside at Nana and Pop's house for a long time. We played in the water and with rocks. Liam is in a huge rock phase right now. He can sit in rocks and play forever. It was a good day to be in the sunshine. Friday night we went to Lane's preschool graduation. I cannot believe she is going to be in kindergarden next year!! All of the kids in her class stood up and said what they want to be when they grow up and Lane's answer was veterinarian.
Saturday I was able to go on a 30 mile bike ride with my brother-in-law Paul. We rode from my parent's house to my Grandpa Nash's house. My parents took Liam out to Grandpa's so we could all meet up for breakfast. I didn't realize how special this visit would be at the time. My Grandpa passed away on June 11th after having a stroke so this would be my last visit with him. It was so special to get to spend some time with him and talk with him that Saturday morning. He even got a picture with William Thomas--my Grandpa always called him by his "traditional Irish Catholic name". My Grandfather was a man of faith and family and I will miss him dearly.
We spent Saturday afternoon playing at Jenn's house. While Finley and Liam napped, Jenn, Lane, and I went to Lucky's Market to get food for dinner. Lucky's Market just opened and it is this awesome organic market with tons of yummy produce and food. While we were out we visited Aunt Jack while Harper was napping--Lane even got to take a dip in the pool. We had an awesome dinner at Jenn's house Saturday evening. It was nice to get to spend so much one-on-one time with Jenn and her family!
Sunday I got up and went to church with my Dad while my Mom stayed home with Liam. Liam and I got on the road around lunch time and had a quick trip back to Knoxville! Here are some pictures from our trip!
