Date Night 2/7/14

Michael and I went to see the Eli Young Band in Chattanooga on February 7th. Michael got the tickets for me as a b-day present. The show was at Track 29 and we stayed in Chatanooga for the night. It was the first time both of us have been away from Liam overnight at the same time. Liam stayed with Grandma and Grandpa and had a great time!

We went to a place called the Terminal Brewhouse before the show and I highly recommend it! Very yummy food and beer.

The next morning we went to Aretha Frankenstein's for breakfast. This place was so good! You probably wouldn't find it unless you were looking for it. Very delicious pancakes!

It was so much fun having a date night in a different city. Special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for helping make it happen!

Track 29 was on the grounds of the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Hotel

First Hair Cut (2/6/14)

My wonderful friend Amy came over tonight to give Liam his first hair cut! I work with Amy at tnAchieves. She has been through beauty school and still cuts hair on the side. She was nice enough to come by the house to give Liam's hair a trim. I have trimmed around his ears and neck some, but he got a real hair cut tonight. Liam's hair has been getting pretty thick (he gets it honestly) so we decided it was time for a real cut. I took a few pictures so you could see the progression of the hair cut. (Sorry in advance for all of the captions, I had to give words to Liam's expressions.) He was pretty concerned the whole time, but he was a good sport.
He had met Amy before, but never with scissors!
Whatcha doing Amy?
Don't take too much off the top!
As long as Mom lets me hold her phone I'll sit still.
And now I have some Ritz...
I'll just watch my show while Amy finishes.
Mom, enough pictures!
Finished product- by the way today was jersey day at school!
And from the back!

Family Outing to Lakeshore Park

This past Saturday we went to Lakeshore Park so Michael and Gus could run, and Liam and I could go for a walk. It was a mild day and we all wanted to be outside. The park has a nice long paved trail and it has views of the Tennessee River and the mountains. We enjoyed the evening! Below are some pictures from our outing. (The 2 bottom pictures are from after church on Sunday- besides the fact that Liam needs a hair cut he cleans up pretty well!)

Snow Day

We got about 4 inches of snow last week and I had to go get Liam early from school on Tuesday when the snow started falling. I took some pictures of the snow at hour house!
