Nana and Pop come to Knoxville

My parents have been wanting to come to Knoxville for a visit this summer and they decided to come August 2-4. They arrived at lunch time on Friday and then left after breakfast on Sunday. We were able to have a fun and relaxing weekend while they were here. Mom watched Liam while I went to my Saturday morning boot camp class, and Dad and Michael went to workout at the same time.

We all met downtown after our workouts to go to farmer's market and brunch on Market Square. We had fun walking around looking at all of the booths; and Mom and I bought some awesome produce, granola treats, and bread. After the market we went to Tupelo Honey for brunch. It was AWESOME. We got a blueberry granola crunch pancake for an appetizer and it was bigger than the plate! Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and we didn't really eat much for the rest of the day. For dinner we ate the produce that we bought at the market.

Sunday we got up and went to 8:15 mass. We came back and Mom made french toast from the farmer's market bread--it was delicious. I was in a carb coma for the rest of the day. Mom and Dad left after breakfast, and as always it was hard to say goodbye. We will be seeing them again soon though at the end of August for Labor Day weekend!
